No
Place to Call Home
There is an increasing number of weary souls
wandering all over the city and sleeping on the streets where they find a spot;
with no place to call home. Their tents or make shift camps with sleeping bags
and bundles, and untold other contraptions.
This particular old man stood out as he was
wandering down the alley with his weather worn walking cane. He was just
talking to himself in unintelligible words as he searched into the garbage cans
down the alley. No one seemed to notice him as they just passed by him
stumbling around hopelessly. Life in the city can be cruel and unforgiving when
you have no place to call home; and people keep passing you by as you struggle
to survive on these mean and cruel streets.
A youngster leaving a nearby fast food restaurant
saw the old man scavenging and approached him to strike up a conversation. The
youngster gave the old man the fast food bag filled with food; and the old man
thanked the youngster. The old man sensed that the youngster was genuine and
wanted to know more about him. They continued to talk and the old man told the
youngster how he was reared on one of the Old Sea Islands with a lot of
history. The old man talked about how his elders gave him a lot of good advice
back there on the Sea Island as he sat under the old oak trees. He received
training on how to be self sufficient and learned to hunt and fish in the
rivers nearby. The youngster sensed that the old man came to the city and got
influenced by the wrong people and fallen on hard times, and now has no place
to call home.
The old man sensed that the youngster needed to know
more so that he would know that this old man knows his roots and can go home
again. The old man and the youngster continued to talk and the old man told the
youngster that his faith was strong and deep, and that he will rise up and
return to the ideals of his roots. That he grew up in a Bible belt community on
the Sea Island where the people had a deep and abiding faith and belief in God.
That he had decided to turn his life around and move on to better days; as he
knows that the Glorious Trumpet will sound soon for all of us. The youngster
began to listen more attentively as the old man began to talk more about how
“The Last Trump (7th) Shall Sound” and he began to recite from deep
down within as he stated that:
The
Last Trump (7th) shall Sound so loud that it will
wake up the walking dead! Listen; Listen for that Loud Last Trump. Are you
ready for that Glorious Sound? We shall all be changed at that Loud Last Trump;
that 7th Trump. It will sound so loud all over the world, with joy
in that pleasant land. It’s a Great New Day coming for them that know “The Way,
The Truth, and The Life”. We’ll All be changed before going into that Great New
Millennium to be with our Heavenly Father. Get renewed in the spirit of your
mind, and put on the new man. There is Only One Way, Truth and Life; get yoked
together with Jesus! Get on board and come on in to that “Great Millennium
Reign”.
The youngster had closed his eyes as he was
listening to “The Last Trump (7th)” as recited by the old man (Revelation 11:15). The youngster kept
his eyes closed for a minute or so after the old man finished his recital; and
when he opened his eyes and looked around the old man was gone. The old man had
exited the alley and mingled into the noon day crowds up and down the
boulevard. The youngster looked up and down the crowd and didn’t see the old
man and said to himself, “I just had a good conversation with an angel”. The
old man (angel) is going home to his roots, and he is not homeless; is in his
true state of mind and has been renewed in the spirit of his mind. I am just
thankful and grateful that I had the pleasure to receive such wisdom and
instruction right there in the alley from an angel sent from above. We must all
listen to those words of wisdom ringing out deep within our conscience. There
is a way out and the guardian angel is pointing us in the right direction.
Return to God’s Principles and Commandments!
